Argentina - Uruguay - Paraguay
This time I will again bring with me my IC703 and a homemade Rybakov Antenna. At the moment I have sent applications for LU- CX- and ZP-licences. During the last months I have had some QSO's with Hams in LU, ZP And CX- land and I hope I can visit some of them when I arrive SA.
October 6th. Ron (CX2AQ) and Pablo (LU6XV) have sent my applications for CX and LU to the communications authorities and I have now received my new licences - LA6IKA/CX and LU/LA6IKA. Waiting for ZP licence.
November 14th. Unfortunately I didn't get VP8-licence as the ship arrived Stanley on a sunday. The Post Office where the licences are issued is always closed on sundays. To get licence by e-mail was impossible. Radio condx from the ship is not so good. A lot of local QRM from the electrical systems onboard. The ship is propelled by a diesel-electrical system and the ship is like a flowting power plant. Will be on the air from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego from Nov. 19th.
November 24th. Radio conditions are nor so good at the moment. So far about 75 QSOs from Ushuaia during a few afternoon hours from the Club Station LU8XW.
LU8XW Club Station
December 2nd. Conditions have not improved. The bands were almost dead in the afternoon and had just a few contacts from the Radio Club in Puerto Madryn. Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet the joyful guys in Puerto Madryn.
LU6WG members and a visitor from Norway
Tuesday, December 7th.
Ron, CX2AQ met me at the hotel and handed me my new CX-licence. Now I can go on the air as LA6IKA/CX. Later in the evening I visited Radio Club Ureguayo, CX1AA where I met some of the members of the club.
